We attended Datenspuren 2023 of the C3D2 and gave a talk about Microsoft products at the TU Dresden.

Everything EXCEL-lent at the TU Dresden

We asked ourselves how much money the TU Dresden actually pays for Microsoft products and simply asked. But in the end, there was more work behind this small request than expected. We take you on the journey of our question and want to explore who actually makes contracts with Microsoft, why all institutions use MS products, what is actually wrong with the Saxon Transparency Act, how to break away from the MS monopoly and how much money the universities actually spend.
